Furthermore, for every woman who dies due to a pregnancy or childbirth complication, approximately 20 others suffer injuries, infection and disabilities. Advocating for improved maternal health with a white ribbon

Cyan International has joined the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood. The Alliance, founded in 1999, adopted the white ribbon as its emblem, a symbol of mourning in some places and yet a symbol of hope and life in other places, in dedication to the memory of all girls and women who have died needlessly in pregnancy and childbirth.
